Morning checkout and drive to Periyar covering a distance of 180 Km in approx 5 hrs. Periyar is the name for the abode of elephants in Kerala. Drive to Madurai, the 2500 year old city of South India. The temple city provides so many amusing sights with its streets thronging with pilgrims, small old fashioned houses with open air kitchens, cows wandering on the streets and bazaars that are full of colour and sell little trinkets.
