Yelagiri, also called the ‘Cardamom Hills’, is a little known hill station that is close enough for an ideal weekend getaway. After you get comfortable settling in at the hotel, set out to trek to Swamimalai, the highest point of Yelagiri. Towering above the surrounding peaks, Swamimalai offers a panaromic view of the spectacular sights that surrounds and the trek by itself, along the trails that are set amidst towering trees shrouded in mist, is one to remember.
